Highlights:
1992 - 1995: Canada Council Explorations Grant to develop a project in cast glass based on objects described in medieval Icelandic literature: "Out of the Darkness - Viking Magic and Mythology"
1996 - 2003: Window commissions only, no studio work
2004: Lady Minto Hospital, Salt Spring Island - design and execution of etched windows in new wing
2006: Our Lady of Grace Church, Salt Spring Island - design and fabrication of two stained glass windows, each 18 sq. ft. for behind the altar. Traditional stained glass techniques - painted and multiple kiln firings.
I operate a working studio/gallery that is open to the public 7 months of the year.

I believe that all my work has its source in my spiritual essence and my connection to my ancestry - a mixture of Icelandic, Irish, Polish and Bohemian (Czech). My life experiences of creating archaeological renderings, traditional native regalia, painting, music and the study of religion/belief systems and religious symbolism all figure into my glass work.
The castings all look as if they have been unearthed, and as if they had their origins in another place and time.
The stained glass and fused work is all very geometric and balanced, yet the use of symbolism in color and design informs every piece.
In each piece, I strive to establish a connection with the past that is not just a representation, but contains the seed of association with the group consciousness of common history.
